Embarking on a fitness program is a noble venture, but it can be very daunting. Most people realize the value of exercise as it pertains to their health and fitness, but suffer from paralysis by analysis. Where do I start? What type of exercise should I do? Should I do cardio, resistance training, or both? How much? How long? What intensity? What about my shoulder I injured a few years ago? Will this make me bulky?
Once the multitude of unanswered questions start swirling around in one’s head, the fear of failure sets in and nothing happens. My goal for this blog series is to touch on the key points of a successful fitness program and explain them in a way that makes them easy to understand and apply to everyday life. This series will be beneficial not just to the beginner, but to advanced persons as well. Below is an outline of upcoming posts:
- Where To Start
- Realistic Goal Setting
- Primary Human Movement Patterns
- Resistance Training
- Cardiovascular Training
- Putting It All Together
